The living room is, without a doubt, my favourite room in the house. Since this is the space where we spend the bulk of our time, I spent the most time curating the design. The living room’s design aim was to keep it simple, with neutral tones and subtle farmhouse accents. Please give me all the warm and fuzzy feelings!
Check out our DIY article here on how we recently remodelled our entire kitchen. The majority of these ideas came to me before the remodel, but there are some aspects of this room that we still need to finish, such as the breakfast nook/casual dining area. I wanted to achieve a modern farmhouse chic vibe with splashes of green and earthy tones to tie it all together while curating this room!
If I’m completely frank, my vision for this space is still a work in progress! I want a modern farmhouse chic look in this room, but I also want it to be extremely cosy and practical. I love how versatile these base pieces are, and they’re the perfect place to start for achieving the look I’m going for!
Although having a formal dining room is somewhat obsolete, it was one of my house’s favourite features when we first saw it! Since I want the table to be the focal point of the space, it has the most basic design. Wainscoting runs the length of our dining room, so that’s a comment in and of itself!
The guest bedroom, last but not least! When curating this design board, I used home decor ideas from other house areas, and I believe it achieves the perfect farmhouse chic look. I like how these pieces have earthy tones and a light, airy feel to them. Let me know if you’d like to continue in this room in the comments section below.
I’m afraid I won’t fit anything I want for this room into a single design board! For a long time, having an office has been a big dream of mine, and it’s also one of the best ways to get creative and find pieces that personalize the room. I wanted to experiment with tones here, combining woods, metals, and various textures. It’s certainly notable, but I love how the colours work together to create the ideal modern chic office!
