I’ve always wished for a lovely garden. I’m about ten or fifteen years older in my vision, with some grey hairlines here and there, and I’m pruning, potting, planting, and watering my garden. I enjoy traveling and seeing new things, but I prefer to stay at home. So, when we’re not on the path to our next hiking destination, I’d rather be in my garden with my dad.
If having a beautiful garden seems to be a lot of work, you’re right, particularly in the early years. However, if it’s anything you like, you should give it a shot. Here are a few things I’ve recently learned about planting a garden (and I don’t mean a vegetable garden; I mean a blooming yard full of wild style flowering shrubs, grasses, and other plants).
